We are planning our first family vacation to Turkey this summer with our two kids, aged 5 and 8. We are looking for a resort that has a great kids' club and decent water slides, but isn't completely overrun with noise 24/7. Does anyone have experience with the Antalya or Bodrum areas for families? We’d prefer an all-inclusive setup so we don't have to worry about meal planning every day. Any specific hotel recommendations or areas we should avoid would be greatly appreciated.

We stayed at the Delphin Imperial in Lara last summer. The kids' club is top-notch and they have a massive aqua park, but it can get quite loud during the day. If you want peace, maybe look for something a bit further out in Belek.

I second the Belek recommendation. We went to the Maxx Royal last year and it was incredibly relaxing despite being family-oriented. Definitely pricier, but worth it if you want to avoid the chaos.

Avoid the center of Bodrum if you want quiet. It's beautiful but the music from the bars carries across the water late into the night.

That's a great point about Bodrum. We stayed in Yalikavak instead and it was much more chill for the kids.

Check out the Liberty Fabay in Fethiye. It's a bit of a drive from Antalya airport but it's much more laid back and the kids' activities are really well-organized.

Is Fethiye better than Antalya for a first-timer? We were leaning towards Antalya for the convenience.

Antalya is definitely more convenient for families, especially with an 8-year-old who might get restless on long transfer rides. Just stick to the Lara or Belek areas.

Look into the Rixos hotels. They usually have excellent kids' clubs that keep them busy all day, which gives you some actual quiet time.

Make sure you check the recent reviews on TripAdvisor before booking. Some resorts have changed management recently and the service quality has dropped.

Totally agree with the previous poster. We booked a place based on old photos and it was a mistake. Always check the latest user uploads.

We went to Side last June and it was the perfect middle ground. Great historical sites to walk around and plenty of family resorts that aren't just loud party hotels.

Side is a great shout. It feels a bit more authentic than the purpose-built resort towns.

Whatever you do, just make sure to book your airport transfers in advance. It makes the whole arrival process so much smoother with kids.
