My partner and I are planning a getaway to the Carpathian Mountains for a long weekend and we really want to find a place that offers private outdoor hot tubs. We are looking for something tucked away in the mountains with a nice view, but we are having trouble narrowing down the best areas. Could anyone recommend specific villages or resorts that are known for high-quality wood-fired tubs? Also, what kind of price range should we expect per night for a cabin that includes these amenities? Any personal experiences or tips on booking would be greatly appreciated.

Look into the area around Tatariv. It's much quieter than Bukovel but still very accessible, and almost every new chalet there has a cedar wood-fired hot tub.

I second Tatariv! We stayed there last autumn and having a hot tub while looking at the mist in the valley was the highlight of the trip.

Expect to pay anywhere from $80 to $150 per night for a decent cabin with a private tub. Anything cheaper usually means the tub is shared with other guests, which isn't as private.

Is it easy to find these in winter? I'm worried about the roads being too icy for my car.

Most hosts will arrange a transfer if your car can't make it up the mountain, but definitely check the booking reviews first to see if people mention road accessibility.

Try searching on Booking.com with the 'hot tub' filter, but double-check the photos. Some places advertise a 'hot tub' but it's actually just a cold plunge pool.

Good point. Always message the owner and ask specifically if it's 'wood-fired' or a 'jacuzzi' because the experience is totally different.

Check out Yaremche if you want to be close to restaurants and hiking trails, but look for cabins a bit further up the hill so you get that secluded vibe.

I prefer the Verkhovyna area. It's more authentic and less touristy than the main resorts, and the views of the Chornohora range are unbeatable.

Verkhovyna is amazing, but be prepared for a bit of a drive to get there from the main hubs. Totally worth it for the peace and quiet though.

Don't forget to book at least 3-4 weeks in advance if you're going on a weekend. The nice chalets with hot tubs sell out incredibly fast.
