I am looking to book a health retreat in Ukraine for some much-needed relaxation and digestive detox, but I am stuck between choosing Truskavets and Morshyn. I have heard that Truskavets has a more developed infrastructure and a wider range of hotels, but I am wondering if Morshyn might be better if I want a quieter, more focused experience. Has anyone visited both recently and could compare the quality of the mineral waters and the overall service levels? I would appreciate any recommendations for specific resorts that offer good medical packages for international guests.

I’ve been to both. If you want a proper detox with a real medical focus, Morshyn is better because it’s smaller and the water is more specialized for liver and gallbladder issues. Truskavets is more like a resort town with entertainment.

Totally agree with the first comment. Truskavets can get a bit noisy, especially in the central park area. If you truly want peace, go to Morshyn.

I actually prefer Truskavets. The Rixos Prykarpattya is world-class and offers great medical packages for international guests. It’s hard to beat that level of service elsewhere in the region.

Rixos is great, but it’s very expensive. If you’re on a budget, look at smaller boutique hotels in Truskavets that still have their own pump rooms.

How do the mineral waters compare? I heard Morshyn water is much stronger.

Morshyn water is indeed more intense, so make sure you see a doctor before you start drinking it. Don't just self-medicate!

I visited Truskavets last summer. The infrastructure is definitely better for foreigners-lots of English-speaking staff and organized tours to the mountains.

That's a good point. Morshyn is a bit more 'old school' and you might struggle a little if you don't speak any Ukrainian or Russian.

Just go to Truskavets. It has everything you need in one place, and the train connection from Lviv is very convenient.

I stayed at a sanatorium in Morshyn recently. It was quiet, cheap, and very effective for my digestive issues, but don't expect luxury. It’s very basic.

Basic is exactly what I'm looking for! Thanks for the heads up, I think I'll lean towards Morshyn then.

Does anyone have a contact for a private doctor in Truskavets? I'd like to get a consultation before booking a hotel.

Most hotels in Truskavets have their own medical center. You don't usually need to find an outside doctor unless you have something very specific.

It really depends on what you value more: comfort or clinical results. Choose Truskavets for comfort, Morshyn for the water.
